TSL Australia are pleased to share a shipment they recently completed to Auckland, New Zealand involving oversized laminated timber arches.

This cargo consisted of 18 packages with a total volume of 294 cbm, and a weight of 68,700 kg.

Some of these oversized timber arches measured over 22 meters in length, and 4 meters in width.

The project was not without its challenges. Production delays and last-minute packing list changes left their client struggling to secure a suitable vessel.

With only one week until the loading deadline, TSL explored every available option and successfully secured a charter vessel with deck space, keeping the shipment on-track.

However, securing the vessel was just the beginning. The cargo required strict on-wharf fumigation due to seasonal regulations, with limited daylight hours for loading.

To add to the complexity, delayed truck arrivals meant fumigation had to be split over two days, requiring careful coordination to avoid disruptions.

TSL worked closely with agents, fumigators, stevedores, and the vessel crew, adapting in real time to ensure the shipment was successfully loaded to schedule.
