Protranser Export Dangerous Goods to Iraq as Breakbulk
26th November 2024
The team at Protranser International Logistics in China recently handled an export shipment of breakbulk dangerous goods to Iraq.
The dangerous cargo (class 9) featured in this shipment was an energy storage cabinet with a weight of 48 tons, and dimensions of 7.7 x 3.0 x 3.3 meters.
Leo Liu at Protranser comments; "The major challenge we met is that there is no record at Qingdao Port of handling DG cargo via a breakbulk shipment. We needed to mobilise autocranes, coordinate with port authorities as well as deliver the empty flat-racks and the cargo to the port separately.".
Their scope of work included port services, shipment booking and the export declaration.
"Although the procedure was complicated and the operation was difficult, we concluded this shipment with great support from our partners."
