Pictured above is a recent project handled by STERNE Group and fellow PCN member in Canada, Canaan Group, involving the exceptional transport of three oversized electric special vehicles (each with a width of 366cm), ensuring a smooth and secure international delivery. The project required multimodal logistics and close coordination between international partners.
Canaan Group handled the inland transport in Canada, transfer onto flat-rack containers, lashing & securing operations, export customs clearance, and ocean freight. STERNE Group then handled the direct coordination of on-carriage transport from the port to Aberdeen in Scotland, route planning for the oversized transport, final delivery to site, and unloading using 2 mobile cranes, always ensuring the safe handling of the units.
The project highlights strong international coordination and specialist expertise in handling OOG transport.
