PCN Celebrates 4th Anniversary

Project Cargo Network (PCN) is celebrating its 4th anniversary and its'' most progressive year since its launch in August 2010.

In the past 12 months, PCN has renewed its ISO 9001 Quality Management certification and also gained ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification. The network has introduced new innovative membership benefits including personalized Marketing Websites for each Member, based on a company specific URL. In May, PCN held one of the world''s first FREE networking events alongside Breakbulk Europe in Antwerp. The event, which was organised and sponsored by the PCN Head Office and hosted by PCN President/C.E.O., Rachel Humphrey, introduced many new Members through individual 20 minute meetings followed by a private group dinner.

Over the past 4 years, PCN has made astounding growth and now has an international presence that extends to 230+ Specialist Members in over 800 worldwide offices in 105+ countries. PCN is also a Founder Member of ELITE representing in excess of 4,500 SME''s in 195 countries and annual revenues exceeding USD 60 Billion.

Rachel Humphrey said "Our success at recruiting the top specialists in our industry is proven by the articles in our Latest News page, often republished by HLPFI. Many networks are forced to make difficult decisions in an effort to remain competitive. We have noticed that many of the applicants that we have declined for various reasons are appearing in other networks. This may increase their revenue, but it won''t necessarily strengthen the network."

Recruitment Director, Sam Wilcox who has overseen PCN''s growth said "Each company is required to be an active Member, prepared to reciprocate business and attend our Annual Summit in order to develop business within the spirit of our network."

The PCN Head Office has recently grown with the addition of Creative Director, Dale Nicholson and Administration Director, Wendy Schuller. The team are now in the midst of preparations for what Judith Mellett, Deputy to C.E.O., says promises to be their largest gathering to date, when Members will descend on Rome in November for 3 days of business development.

PCN recently secured a special collaboration with Drewry Maritime Research to provide Members with a presentation on the Multipurpose and Heavy Lift Market Sector four times a year, showing forecast trends.

Rachel adds "Our collaboration with Drewry will help PCN Members to be the first to adapt to any changes in trade patterns and establish a presence on a route that may become a significant global trade flow before their competitors."

The future continues to look bright for PCN and its Members as management look to further strengthen and expand their position as market leaders in the heavy lift industry.
