The PCN Head Office are always delighted to hear news of recent developments and projects from their Members. INTERTRANSPORT Hohnholz GmbH, who joined PCN as a representative in Germany in August 2010, have completed the transport of an 82 ton gearbox,a tubular feeding machine and a riser feeding machine from Germany to Korea.

Ms Ramona Duckstein, Management Assistant at INTERTRANSPORT Hohnholz, explains: "the first shipment of the gear box, which was 6.20 x 3.97 x 4.18 m / 82 tons, was delivered to Bremerhaven by truck. In Bremerhaven the gear box was then secured and stowed with a steel cradle onto 12 square timber sections and onto 3 40’ flatracks on MV “Maersk Tukang”. The second shipment of a tubular feeding machine, which was 31 x 2.8 x 3 m / 47.7 tons, and a riser feeding machine, which was 35 x 3 x 3 m / 49.5 tons, were picked up in Poland by extendable trailer and delivered to Bremerhaven. The two machines were loaded aboard MV “Maersk Stralsund” by means of a container gantry crane. The RFM was stowed on a floor of 12 40’ flat racks which were distributed across 15 slots and the TFM was stowed on a floor of 11 40’ flat racks which were distributed across 13 slots."
