Gebrüder Weiss Handle Gantry Crane Bound for China

Gebrüder Weiss are PCN members in Austria. The offices have a vast experience in a wide range of project cargo & heavy lift services and they are pleased to share a recent shipment of a gantry crane which was transported to China after being produced in Estonia.
The crane weighed 75tns with dimensions of 18.75 x 5 x 6.9m and also included were 3 containers of spares & smaller additional parts.
Project Logistics & Breakbulk Manager, Franco Ravazzolo further explains; "We first shipped the crane as deck cargo on a chartered gearless coaster from Tallinn to Hamburg where is was discharged using shore cranes and stored on a river ship for about 10 days. Then, it was loaded using a floating crane as breakbulk cargo bound for China on the container ship 'CMA CGM Aquila' using an artificial tweendeck of 4 x 40ft flat".
