Express Global Logistics Execute Project for EPC Company
1st August 2016
PCN members in India, Express Global Logistics (EXG) are project specialists established in 1946 with headquarters in Mumbai and offices across India backed by their own fleet of hydraulic axles, cranes (up to 450tns) and warehouses etc.
The EXG project team has recently successfully completed a job on a turnkey basis including the supply of cranes at the site. This cargo consisted of 12,000+frtns of fabricated steel structures for a large Chinese EPC company.
The project included receiving the structures under hook at Mumbai port in 2 lots and after completion of port handling and custom clearance procedures, the cargo was safely transported a distance of 450kms to the project site in Jambusar (Gujarat). The heaviest piece was 42tns and the longest pieces measured 24.5m in length (photographs of the cargo can be view by clicking on the below thumbnail gallery).
A total of 140 trailers of various types (long body, low bed, semi-low bed, flat bed etc.) were used for the transportation and EXG had carried route surveys from the port to project site well in advance to ensure no obstacles were faced while transporting the over-dimensional pieces. EXG cranes were also deployed for site handling and erection activities.
The project team at EXG concludes; "The complete project was finished at a swift pace and within the timelines provided. Our efficiency and attention to detail was much appreciated by the client."
