Centauro Smoothly Handle Critical Power Generation Project

Centauro were recently entrusted by one of the large power generation companies in Argentina with the management of critical logistics operations following an equipment failure at one of its plants.

The project involved the multimodal transportation - ocean, road, and air - of high value and oversized equipment as well as multiple international suppliers and strict delivery deadlines.
Key operations included:
Export of OOG equipment from Argentina to Germany for repair, using flat-racks and coordinating delivery directly to the supplier's facility.
Import of large and heavy machinery, transported by charter flight from Germany to Ezeiza aboard an IL-76 aircraft, followed by inland transportation to the customer's plant.
Import of the repaired OOG equipment from Germany to Argentina.
Critical airfreight shipments from Germany to support the equipment installation at the plant.
The project required close coordination between international partners, carriers, suppliers, and the Centauro local team, with continuous follow-ups and 24/7 operational support.
- 25 companies were involved throughout the operation.
- 12 Centauro professionals were involved in the coordination & execution.
- Over 200 documents managed.
Working under a 'Just in Time' approach, the Centauro team successfully coordinated each stage of the operation, meeting the delivery requirements despite the complexity and critical nature of the project.
