Balena Coordinate Transport of Mixed Bed Towers to Iraq

Balena Projects recently coordinated the transportation of two mixed bed towers, with a combined weight of 17,400kg, from Brookshire in Texas, to Umm Qasr, Iraq.
The shipment required careful planning to accommodate the cargo's dimensions and ensure proper handling throughout the transportation process.
Their scope of work included trucking, transloading, cargo lashing and securing, customs clearance, and ocean freight to Iraq. Specialised lashing arrangements were implemented to secure the equipment for international ocean transportation, with the cargo securing arrangements inspected and verified as meeting the required lashing strength criteria.
By coordinating inland transportation, cargo handling, lashing and securing, customs procedures, and ocean freight, Balena Projects managed all the key stages of the shipment, ensuring a smooth transition from inland transport in Texas to international ocean transportation to Iraq.
