3P Logistics (3PL) successfully began the transportation of oversized wind turbine components for Vestas in Denmark.

In January 2025, 3PL Industrial Projects secured a long-term contract to transport wind turbine parts - measuring approximately six meters in width - from Vietnam to Vestas’ facility in Lindø Munkebo, Denmark.

This complex operation involves multiple logistical challenges, including road transportation from Aarhus port, covering a distance of 170 kilometers, exclusively during nighttime hours.

Due to the width of the cargo, each truck required an escort of three pilot cars, in compliance with Danish transportation regulations.

This operation is set to continue, with additional shipments scheduled to arrive in the spring of 2025.

Ilya Goncharov, Head of Industrial Projects at 3PL, is responsible for overseeing this critical transportation project. Reflecting on the success of the initial deliveries, Goncharov emphasised the importance of precision planning and execution in handling oversized cargo:

"Coordinating international imports, road transportation, and regulatory compliance requires seamless teamwork, and I’m proud of our team’s dedication to delivering excellence for Vestas."
