3p Logistics Transport Wind Turbine Parts to Australia
21st October 2024
3p Logistics are pleased to report the successful delivery of wind turbines parts from Germany and Lithuania to Australia.
The turbine parts consisted of about 300 metric tons in towers and foundation rings.
This cargo was collected from the Port of Rostock in Germany before being transported by a coaster vessel to the Port of Klaipeda, Lithuania.
3p Logistics were responsible for operations such as loading & unloading, lashing & unlashing, customs clearance, and port handling.
Once arrived in Lithuania, the turbine parts were loaded onto an ocean vessel and delivered safely & securely to the final destination in Australia.
Ilya Goncharov, Global Project Manager at 3p Logistics offered his comments on the project:
"The market of wind turbines is a great place for small and mid-sized forwarders. You need to act fast and deliver upon unique solutions. Sometimes, you must get offers from more than 15 suppliers to find 1 solution, even for a small episode of the project."
